The Government of Catalonia through Catalan Arts —the brand used for the international promotion of Catalan music companies— will be attending once again Classical:NEXT, the main professional meeting point for the classical music sector.

This year, the fair will take place in Rotterdam from 17 to 20 May.

Catalan Arts will be exhibiting at stand 25 alongside the following Catalan companies and organizations:

aupaQUARTET comes from Classical Music and goes to the XXIst century's music with 2 projects:
1- StepUp: aupaQUARTET has recorded its first album, UP, with original compositions and several musical influences: a lot of groove, funk, blues & Cuban flavour.
2- Beyond the Strings: A new Project where Rock music has the elegance of Jazz and Jazz Standards sound with the power of Rock.

Per Poc Puppet Company is directed by Santi Arnal and Anna Fernández, who have worked together for 20 years on the international scene creating outstandingly beautiful and original staged pieces. Their works, which combine the world of puppetry with musical composition, have been co-produced with renowned cultural institutions including the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona (The Little Sweep, by Benjamin Britten) and Radio France (Petrushka, by Igor Stravinsky with the Orchestre Philarmonique de Radio France, conducted by Mikko Franck). Other productions of the work developed by Per Poc with more than 30 orchestras around the world are: The Soldier's Tale, by Igor Stravinsky; A Midsummer Night's Dream, by Felix Mendelssohn; Romeo and Juliet, by Sergei Prokofiev; The Nutcracker, by P.I. Tchaikovsky and Peter and the Wolf, by Sergei Prokofiev.
