Catalan music heads back to Midem through the Catalan Arts stand

Once again, the Catalan Ministry of Culture will hold a booth under the brand Catalan Arts at Midem 2017, the international meeting of professionals working in the music industry. The Catalan Arts booth will host 12 companies representatives from the Catalan music sector.

Midem, which this year celebrates its 51st edition, will take place in Cannes, France, from 6 to 9 June. Created in 1967, it is the most important meeting, worldwide, of companies working in the sector. Its 50th edition, in 2016, welcomed 4.400 participants from 85 different countries. In these 51 years the industry has been transformed therefore Midem has adapted itself to the new concerns of the industry such as the digital distribution, the streaming, the digital copyright and so on.

For four days, the trade fair will also offer to the music professionals: lectures, exhibition spaces, live entertainment, happy hours and other opportunities to expand its international network, build bridges with other creative industries, improve practices, sign agreements and expand their business.
