New compilations 2017 Electronic, Jazz, Pop Rock and World Music, available in CD and streaming

Once again the Markets Area has released four compilation CDs that provide a broad selection of the best Catalan releases of recent months: Jazz from Catalonia 2017, Pop Rock from Catalonia 2017, World Music from Catalonia 2017 and Electronic Music from Catalonia 2017. The aim is to make Catalan talent better known and highlight the vibrancy of the Catalan record industry. To do so, the CDs are distributed at trade fairs attended by the Ministry of Culture and among foreign professionals interested in the Catalan music scene.

The compilations were begun in 2005. Following a call for proposals from the music industry, the tracks on each CD are selected according to basic criteria of quality and international appeal by professionals associated with the music business (specialist journalists, venue and festival programmers, music critics, etc.). All four discs include information on each group, record company contact details and the respective management offices.
