More than 40 Catalan companies to participate at Mercartes biennial performing arts market

The Ministry of Culture, through the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) and their internationalisation brand, Catalan Arts, will provide a stand at the 7th edition of Mercartes, a biennial event set to take place in Valladolid from 7 to 9 November that is a reference for performing arts professionals. More than 40 Catalan companies will be taking part in this edition, most of them at the Catalan Arts stand provided by the Ministry of Culture. Over the course of the event, professionals from the ICEC's Markets Area will work from the Catalan stand to bring industry professionals together, and they will organise a meet-up to foster networking.

The following Catalan companies, distributors and production companies will be at the Catalan stand at Mercartes:

Actúa Distribución, Addaura Teatre Visual, Amer i Àfrica Circ Cia, Anexa, Bitò Produccions, Brodas Bros, Camut Band, Cia La Tal, Cíclicus Espectacle, Colectivo Lamajara Danza, Dagoll Dagom, David Moreno & Cia, De Actores y Armas, Drom, Els Joglars, Escarlata Circus, Explica Dansa, Guerrilla Produccions, Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC), La Brutal, La Fura dels Baus, La Mostra d’Igualada, Lazzigags, Marcel tomás & Cascai, Obsidiana, Orquestra de Cambra de l’Empordà, Projecte Ingenu, Rhum & Cia, Roseland Musical S.L, Sarruga Produccions, T de Teatre, Teatre Nu, Tricicle y Zum Zum Teatre.

These companies will have their own stands:

Mercartes began in 2004 with the aim of becoming a benchmark biennial event in Spain for the performing arts. The Federación Estatal de Asociaciones de Empresas de Teatro y Danza (FAETEDA – State federation of associations of theatre and dance companies) and the Red Española de Teatros, Auditorios, Circuitos y Festivales de Titularidad Pública (La Red – Spanish network for publicly-owned theatres, auditoriums, circuits and festivals) organise this event, which has become a must-attend event for Spanish performing arts professionals and businesses alike.

Looking to make the professional gathering more dynamic, this 7th edition in Valladolid will feature a new side of the Mercartes event, with more organised activities and tools devised to help the many agents in attendance to network.
