The Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies and the City Council of Viladecans organize the fifth Edition of “Espai de Carrer”, an event to encourage the hiring of street arts

The Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies and the Viladecans City Council, in partnership with the Diputació de Barcelona, have organized the event “Espai de Carrer” that will take place on 12th February at the Cubic in Viladecans.

“Espai de Carrer” is primarily aimed at culture managers from Catalan city councils and festivals and feasts programmers. The main objectives of this event are to promote the programming of street arts performances and facilitate the connection between companies, municipal specialists and programmers.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see 20 minutes performances by 12 street arts companies (theatre, dance, circus, installations, puppets, musical, clown ...).

The companies performing at “Espai de Carrer” 2019 are the following:

- “El Secret de la Nana”, d’Anna Roca

- “Koselig”, de Capicua

- “Hathi”, del Centre de Titelles de Lleida

- “Um Bello Dia”, de Dulce Duca

- “Espai Munta Titella”, de Galiot Teatre

- “Give me Protein”, de Kernel Dance Theatre

- “Un Teatre al Jardí”, de Minimons

- “Backclassics”, de Planeta Trampolí

- “Escargots”, de Slow Olou

- “Ye Orbayu”, de Vaques

- “C.O.S.”, de Vero Cendoya

- “Hippos”, de Zum-Zum Teatre

All the shows presented in “Espai de Carrer” (with the exception of installations) will be part of Programa.cat allowing municipal specialists and programmers to hire street arts companies at attractive prices. Programa.cat is a Ministry of Culture’s platform with the aime of supporting local programmes of performing arts and music to increase the activity of the sectors and the quality of local programmes.

“Espai de Carrer” it also has the collaboration of Culture-Diputació de Barcelona.
