Mercat de Música Viva de Vic redefines its 32nd edition in a special edition with an extensive online content programme for professionals

Due to the current circumstances caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Mercat de Música Viva de Vic (MMVV) has decided to find an alternative formula for making the 32n edition happen. Thus, the activities for professionals of the music sector will be offered virtually, which will enhance the discovery of new projects and the contact between professionals. Moreover, the programme will include online performances –pre-recorded by MMVV itself–, both for the public and professionals, and some face-to-face concerts adapted to the regulations in force in September.

The professional activities will take place from 14th to 19th September and will be structured mainly in three axes:

  1. Concerts with premieres recorded by MMVV in high quality and in multi-camera. They will be open and free to view through MMVV web and Youtube channel. The videos will also serve as promotional material for the bands after the event.
  2. Pitchings by the music companies to expose, through a video, his proposals and new additions to their catalogs, and that will be available for the registered professionals.
  3. Webinars that will combine large format sessions with content of interest for a wide sector of the music industry, with more segmented ones, where you can interact smoothly with participants, in line with the successful speedmeeting sessions that have been carried out in recent years.

There will be other complementary activities to make this special edition useful for promoting and providing business tools to the live music industry. In this sense, this year professional accreditations will be free. To access the content that will be broadcast, all you have to do is register for this year's edition, through the MMVV website.

As for the live concerts, at the moment it is not possible to specify in which spaces they will be able to be carried out, nor in what conditions of capacity and sanitary measures, but everything indicates that they will be organised in some points of the city of Vic, depending on the situation in September. The concerts schedule and more other actions to celebrate music and in which the public will be able to participate will be announced in due course.

This year the accreditation is free and will allow you the following: have access to online activities and concerts, access the directory of registered professionals and receive information with the latest developments in the professional area. Register now
