Anna Andreu to perform at Liveurope Online festival from Sala Apolo in Barcelona

EMEE, the European Music Exporters Exchange network in which Catalan Arts - ICEC is a member, is now a partner of Liveurope Festival: 10+ free concerts with up-and-coming artists from over 10 European nationalities streamed to you directly from Europe’s hottest venues from the 24th to the 25 of September.

Under the title "Renewing the European music scene", the third edition of the Liveurope Festival – the flagship annual festival of the live music platform for new European talent – will take place online between 24 and 25 September. The festival will showcase some promising new European artists streamed simultaneously from the stages of 16 iconic music venues, and will also offer a programme for music professionals to discuss urgent topics for the sector.

From Barcelona the Sala Apolo venue will participate with the broadcast of a concert by the Catalan artist Anna Andreu, on Friday 25 at 6:50 pm CET.

It can also be followed live through the recently launched Primavera Pro digital platform.

The festival is the result of the close cross-border cooperation between the members of the Liveurope platform: 16 leading music venues spread across the four corners of Europe – including Sala Apolo. Despite the many challenges brought on by the Covid-19 outbreak, the Liveurope venues remain committed to finding new innovative ways to boost the circulation of Europe’s music diversity, even in times when artistic mobility is hindered. This commitment is well echoed in the statement published in the framework of the festival, which reaffirms the platform’s commitment to supporting European artists to break beyond their national borders and highlights the unique role venues can take as the drivers of a rich, creative and powerful music ecosystem.

The line-up of the concerts couldn’t be more European – it features Charlotte Adigery (BE), Mekdes (DK), Nebraska (FR), DRENS (DE), Pijammies (SI), Ooostblok (NL), Zvíře Jménem Podzim (CZ), Anna Andreu (CAT), and more.

The professional programme of the festival includes an open panel discussion between music professionals and policy-makers, which will count with the presence of Member of the European Parliament Sabine Verheyen and Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. Besides, the festival will also host closed working groups for professionals working for music venues to discuss common challenges and the future of the sector.

Tune in to watch live
