The Huesca International Theatre and Dance Fair is back from 28 to 30 September fully adapted to the prevention and safety measures established by health authorities as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year sees the 34th edition of the Fair, once again the meeting place and showcase for the latest trends in performance and contemporary languages with a score of shows featuring dance, theatre, circus, multidisciplinary activities and even a musical. The shows are open to the general public, but the event is mainly geared to programmers and other industry professionals who can attend showcases, presentations and professional meetings.

As in previous years, the Catalan performing arts will be featured in the official event programme. The Catalan companies taking part this year are Ual·la, Iron Skulls, Manolo Alcántara and Dau al Sec and the Catalan-Aragonese company Seon.

There will also be companies from Aragon, the Community of Madrid, Galicia, the Basque Country and the Valencian Community.

The venues for the Fair are the halls and spaces of the Huesca Conference Centre, the Manuel Benito Moliner Cultural Centre, Sant Jaume Escartín Otín Civic Hall, the Espacio de Arte Joven and the Olimpia Theatre.

New this year is the section "Sin Condiciones", which premiered on the 27th in Ayerbe and aims to bring the performing arts to rural areas. Also established this year is the Javier Brun Award, to be given in recognition of the career of people or institutions that have contributed to the initiating of cultural projects or programmes in the field of the performing arts.
