Catalan Arts virtual booth at CINARS, one of the most important International meeting points for the Performing Arts sector, will be an umbrella for the Catalan strategic marketplaces

The key Catalan professional events for Performing Arts: Mostra Igualada, Sismograf, Trapezi, Fira Tarrega and Fira Mediterrania will take part this November in the online International Conference

 

Due to the current circumstances, cause by Covid-19, this prestigious event, that was taking place every two years in Montreal, Quebec, has switched to the digital world. Even though, from November 9th to the 13th, the International Biennale CINARS will become again the most relevant International meeting point for professionals in the Performing Arts.

As in previous editions, Catalan Arts, the international brand of the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) will attend the event. On this occasion, with a virtual booth gathering the strategic marketplaces: Mostra Igualada (Performing Arts for children’s and youth), Sismògraf (Dance), Trapezi (Circus), FiraTàrrega (Street Arts and unconventional spaces) and Fira Mediterrània de Manresa (Traditional and popular culture).

The official program, hosted at CINARS online platform, will offer virtual showcases, round-tables, pitching of new projects and networking opportunities with other international colleagues, with the aim to promote collaborations, sharing proposals and facilitating chances of showing available creations ready to tour when possible.

Since 1984, CINARS organizes every two years in Montreal, one of the most important international Performing Arts conferences in the world, with more than 1500 professionals, representing more than 40 countries, with 360 shows and programming more than 20 official showcases in front of some of the most influential professionals in the business. Next face-to-face edition of CINARS is schedule for May 24th-29th 2021.

In the past two CINARS, Catalan Arts, in collaboration with Institut Ramon Llull, has organized missions to encourage and support the assistance of Catalan professionals. More information on the last Catalan mission at CINARS
