Primavera Pro 2021 and Catalan Arts open a window on the Catalan music scene with a program of face-to-face showcases

The next edition of the Primavera Pro held from 2 to 4 June 2021 will once again be the meeting point for music professionals and a key platform for the visibility of the music industry in Catalonia. With the desire to continue giving impetus to live music, Catalan Arts, the internationalization brand of the ICEC and Primavera Pro have selected seven Catalan music projects to promote from the face-to-face stage of the event at the CCCB.

The bands that will perform are: Ariana Abecasis, Böira, Neus Borrell and Bru Ferri, Joina, La Ludwig Band, TWIN and Yudi Saint X. These concerts can be enjoyed live for free with prior reservation from the CCCB Women's Patio and they suppose a conviction and a commitment with the international projection of a Catalan scene that, year after year, adds figures of reference in the global panorama.

On Wednesday, June 2, journalists Marta Salicrú and Ben Cardew will inaugurate the cycle of Catalan Arts showcases with a special program streaming from Ràdio Primavera Sound and the Primavera Pro platform with the aim of presenting and contextualizing each of the musical projects to the international press and accredited professionals. Afterwards, the concerts of the diva-futurist Ariana Abecasis, Böira's telluric post-rock and Joina's rap with classical piano instruments will begin from the CCCB's outdoor stage.

Thursday, June 3 will be the turn of the unclassifiable Yudi Saint X’s dream-pop-dub-dance and its scattered hit production; La Ludwig Band's pedantic folk with secrets and unexpected twists and TWIN’s sleek electronic debut.

On the last day, Friday 4 June, we will have the intimate and raw proposal of Neus Borrell and Bru Ferri, poetry in two voices on piano in a live that promises emotions.

These showcases can also be streamed from the Primavera Pro platform and for free. The performances will remain available on demand for people accredited to Primavera Pro. Through the Pro platform, accredited professionals will also be able to discover musical proposals from many other countries.

To offer a wider dissemination of Catalan groups and artists, the playlist "Primavera Pro 2021: The Catalan Music Showcase" has been published from the Catalan Music channel on Spotify to expand the dissemination of these artists.
